hours before Christmas, pocketbook list updates

Christmas Eve na maya maya. Naamoy ko na ang Pasko. Actually, ang naamoy ko ay ang hinahanda nila. Pumunta ako sa kusina kanina at nagtanong kung ano ang maitutulong ko. Ang naging sagot sa akin ay, "Tumayo ka lang diyan at manood."

Dahil masunurin akong bata, tumayo nga ako at nanood. Kaya lang, after about ten minutes, inumpisahan kong papakin ang strawberries na nakahain sa harapan ko. Pinigilan ko na ang sarili ko bago ko pa maubos ang strawberries. Kaya heto ako, nag-iinternet.

Naisip ko ang mga nabasa kong libro nitong nakaraang linggo. Ayun. Nabasa niyo na ba iyong Vince's Life by Vince O. Teves? Iyong dating corner sa Seventeen magazine? After almost a year, lumabas na rin ang Part 2 at pagkatapos kong bilhin ay binasa ko na kaagad. Dahil interesado akong malaman kung ano ang nangyari kay Vince after Andrea, natapos ko agad ang libro. Nagustuhan ko naman. Worth it ang paghihintay kasi maganda naman ang nangyari sa buhay ni Vince. Lalo tuloy akong napaisip kung may lalaki nga bang katulad ni Vince. Sana.

At naisip ko ring iupdate na lang ang listahan ng aking pocketbooks.

Bago pala ang listahan, gusto ko lang sabihin na hindi ko ginagawa ito dahil gusto kong ibenta ang aking mga libro. Hindi rin ako konektado sa kahit na anong publication. Hindi rin ako konektado sa mga authors, maliban na lang sa hilig ko sa pagbabasa ng mga librong sinulat nila. :)

Christmas Medyas

Dati when I was young, I used to place medyas sa window ng aking room. I always made hiram the medyas of my sisters kasi di ba, the bigger the medyas, the manyier the candy?

Kaya lang however makikipag-unahan ako sa paggising sa umaga para makuha ko nang buo ang nightly gift ni Santa. Ngunit one night, isang gabi, naisipan naming magkakapatid na antayin si Santa. Ang natatandaan ko, kaya nila ako nahikayat magpuyat ay dahil gusto kong makakita ng flying reindeer habang ang mga ate ko ay gustong magrequest kay Santa na palitan ng Tobleron ang candy na nilalagay niya sa mga medyas namin. Sa gabing iyon, hindi namin nakita si Santa. Sa halip, kinabukasan ay walang laman ang mga medyas namin. Sinabihan kami ng yaya ko na si Santa daw ay nakatulog kagabi. Siyempre nagtanong ako, "Paano mo nalaman?" Nakita ko ang yaya kong nagkamot ng ulo sabay sabi ng, "Kain ka na lang ng chocolate, bigay ng ninang mo," sabay abot ng Tobleron na kasing laki yata ng braso ko ng mga oras na iyon. Nang mabuksan ko ang chocolate, saglit kong nakalimutan si Santa. Ngunit nang gabing iyon, bago ako matulog, nagsabit ako ng dalawang medyas sa labas ng bintana ng kuwarto ko. Kasi nga may utang siya noong isang gabi. Nakatunog naman si Santa sa nais kong mangyari. Kinabukasan pinuno niya ng assorted candy ang dalawang medyas ko.

Ngayon, hindi na ako ganoon kabata para paniwalaang si Santa nga talaga ang pumupuno sa Christmas Medyas namin. Pero minsan naiisip ko, "Malay mo?".

Ang naaalala ko ay nagpasama sa akin ang kaibigan ko noong grade six sa pagbili ng pocketbook. Tinanong ko siya kung bakit mahilig siyang magbasa nito. Sumagot siya ng, “Halika, pipilihan kita.” At ang napili niyang kauna-unahan kong pocketbook ay ang “Running Back To You” ni Julliana Paez.

Ang latest kung nabili ay ang "Mananatili Kang Akin" ni Martha Cecilia.

Akala ko ay na-outgrow ko na ang pagbabasa ng romance pocketbooks pero hindi pa pala.

Nagustuhan ko ang pagbabasa nito kasi madali siyang maintindihan. At dahil karaniwan ay 128 pages lang, mabilis din akong makatapos. Masaya ring mag-isip ng hitsura ng mga lalaking bida sa bawat kuwento.

Hindi ba’t nakagagaan sa loob na isipin paminsan minsan na may happy ending ang bawat love story sa mundo?

Bakit nga ba ako nahihilig sa pagbabasa ng Romance pocketbooks?

Hmm… bakit hindi? :p

a definition of love

When do you know that you are finally in love? Do you realize it or do you just feel it? How does it truly feel? Does it have to make sense?

I was once told that I know nothing about falling in love because I haven’t experienced it yet. The books, the movies I have seen are not enough for me to even try to talk about what love is. At that moment, I shrugged and remained silent. My silence seemed to send a signal saying that I accept what I have been told.

When I look back at that moment, I know I felt differently and that I had an answer in mind. Not that it mattered at that time because I know people have different opinions and there’s no point arguing. Yet it haunts me. Every time I remember that moment, I want to explain myself, not to that person, but more to assure myself that it is okay for me to talk about love, or anything else that mattered to me.

Is it not falling in love when you are not in anyway committed to that person? Is it not falling in love when you feel it even if you’re contented seeing that person from afar? Is it not falling in love when you dream of being with someone, you feel secured, loved and imagine how this someone completes you? Is it not falling in love when you feel it even if most of the time it does not make sense why you feel that way?

Are couples the only ones who fall in love?

Perhaps my answers to these questions won’t change the view of the person who once told me that I know nothing about love. How can that person say that I haven’t fallen in love yet?

Perhaps I fell in love once.

Perhaps I haven’t.

Yet I still believe that inside the books that I have read, the movies I have seen, I caught a glimpse of what falling in love is and whenever I feel the urge to speak about it, no one should stop me because no one owns the sole right to define what falling in love is. We are free to talk about falling in love.

We are.

We should be.

I always thought that talking about what happened in the past will only make me want to hold on. The more I talk about it, the more it sticks into my mind. That if I talk about it, I will feel the same way again. I will be transported back in those moments that I keep trying to forget.

But lately, I found out that it's not always the case. I talked about what I felt on and on and now I find myself seeing what happened as what it really should be, that is, a part of my past. I see it as an old story. Sometimes I even feel like it wasn't my story anymore, it was someone else, someone else I may or may not know.

Still, there are old stories that I want to remember as mine. Because I am afraid that if I don't remind myself, I wouldn't be me anymore.

(I know I told you I won't write this way here again. And I did, for the past month. But posted above is a taste of what I write about on my xanga. This might be the last post I will copy from my xanga. I'll try to keep this blog and my xanga blog separate from now on.)

Buti meron pa sina Igi Boy, Sharlyn, Nash at Kobi. At dahil natuwa ako masyado, narito ang sample ng palabas:

Na-praktis ko ang aking eavesdropping skills nang magpunta ako sa piyesta dito sa amin noong April 28 bandang 1:00am-3:00 am. Narito ang narinig kong pag-uusap ng isang babae at isang lalaki sa likod ng aking inuupuan (ang mga nasa parenthesis ay aking mga komento):
L: Sumasayaw ka rin?
B: Hindi ah.
L: Secretly, papaya? (hindi ito endearment. siyempre wala pang endearment kasi ngayon lang sila nagkita. ang "Papaya" dito ay tumutukoy sa saway na pinasikat ni Edu.)

Ahhhh, basta ang ending ng pag-uusap na ito ay nagpalitan sila ng cell number pagkatapos ay dadalaw daw minsan ang lalaki sa bahay ng babae at magdadala siya ng iba pang mga kaibigan kung saan ni-request ng babae na magdala raw siya ng mga guwapo. Na sinagot naman ng lalaki, "Bakit pa e single naman ako." O di ba, ang bilis ni kuya? Yay.

Oo nga pala, may nakita pa akong isa. Ang kalaro ko ng teks noong bata, nagpalit na ng puso at kasarinlan, babae na kaming pareho. Siya nga ang nagturo sa mga kasali sa Ms. Sportsfest competition ng tamang pag-rampa sa entablado.

At hindi ko makakalimutan ang contestant na sumayaw ng may hawak na torch na mukhang barbeque na nakadikit sa kanyang mga daliri. Inisip ko, paano kaya kung natilapon ang ala-barbeque na apoy niya sa mga judges? Mabuti na lang kahit mas pinagtutuunan ko ng pansin ang i-pod at cellphone ko, hindi ako tinapunan ng lumalagablab na barbeque.

a) I will conduct a sports fest every year consisting of various sports so that the youth will be given the chance to join in the field that they are good at or are willing to excel in. I will also invite government and private organizations in a symposium that will be presented to the youth. In this way, they will know the consequences of being addicted to drugs.
b) I will invite the youth to join different sports and convince them to avoid drugs by texting them and sending them messages in friendster saying: "I invite you to join different sports and I convince you to avoid drugs."

2) If you will be given a chance to make a new sport to the youth what will it be?
a) I won't make a new sport. Instead, I will try to revive the Philippine games that are on the verge of being left behind by the new generation. The youth should be taught how to play these games the way they are supposed to. We should take pride in our native sports because through this, we do not only develop the physical and mental aspect of our body, we also foster camaraderie and preservation of our culture and tradition. b) I will make a new sport called balleyball. It is a combination of basketball and volleyball.

4) In your explanation, what is the importance of sports in the youth?

The Barbie Doll Dream

I once dreamed of living in a shopping mall with Barbie items surrounding me. I wanted to have a life-sized Barbie to play with, Barbie shoes, Barbie clothes, Barbie bags, Barbie plates, Barbie coat … well, you get the picture.

My first Barbie doll was this mermaid like one with really long hair that I would comb almost endlessly. She wore a gold costume, had pink high heeled shoes, pink comb, gold crown. I remember how I wailed when my hair was cut the moment that I was too happy that I finally grew it as long as Barbie’s… I never went back to that salon since then. I remember how I would guard Barbie’s crown, along with her high heeled shoes that I tried so hard to fit with mine. I thought it was the only Barbie doll in the world. I never realized other kids have other Barbie dolls too. That Barbie doll was the only one I had. I was contented to have just that one doll but I insisted on having other Barbie items like my school bag. Until high school, I turned up in school with my hair style looking as close as Barbie’s. My classmates found it funny how I find time to fix my hair even when I was running late for school.

I can not remember when or even why I started to like Barbie. May be because she’s too pink, my favorite color when I was a kid. May be she’s too blond, unlike my black hair.

I used to fantasize about having a blond hair. After some time, I wanted to become a brunette. When I started to like the color blue, I even thought of having a streak of blue on my hair. There was a trend where almost everyone colored their hair, I had this urge to go with the flow and follow them. Yet I was always told that I have really shiny black hair. It was a complement I never really bothered to appreciate, until now. Come to think of it, aside from being blond, Barbie has black hair too.

Barbie has Ken (and tons of other leading men basing from her movies). I remember ignoring Ken. I wasn’t aware of who he was in Barbie’s life until I entered fifth grade when real life love teams were formed inside our classroom. I found it too cheesy. Then other boys replaced Ken in Barbie movies. All of a sudden, Ken was forgotten. But I think no matter how many other boys come into Barbie’s life, she’ll still remember Ken. I believe there’s Ken in every girl’s life. I know I have one; I just have to figure out who he is.

Barbie embodies the ideal girl. She has the picture perfect façade. She’s into sports yet she can be classy and elegant in a snap. In the movies, she’s smart and kind… a lethal combination if I may say so. She doesn’t have a hard time finding the right clothes to wear because she seems to fit perfectly in all clothes. The only thing wrong is that she’s not real.

No matter how perfect she seems to be, she remains a dream. She remains something the little girl in me wanted to be and may be a part of me still wants to be close to who she is but in a real way. I think it’s possible that right now; I’m not the one who wants to become someone else. I think there’s a possibility that Barbie envies me and all the other girls in the world because in the end, what matters most is not how perfect you are but how real you can be.

* This was the comment I made for one of my fellow blogmate in xanga. I can't believe I was back into being sentimental again with my comments that I decided to make this an entry here. Here a little random thought(s) from me...

Time and time again people say, "I like the way you are." "Stay the same." As if even a tinge of difference would alter who we really are all at once. I have nothing against change per se. All I'm actually curious about is the reason behind all the things we feel when we realize that we have changed or in a way, grew up.
Looking back about our past entries for the past year, I notice that the entries then we more (how can I say...), more full of life.Or something more like it. I can't think of the exact words to describe them.
Sometimes, I think of what will happen if I'm still the same "me" two years ago. I guess things won't have that much difference. Or maybe not. All I know now is that I am still "me" now, only better (I guess...lol.).:p

Why Can't I?

I opened my yahoo account and my inbox was filled with subjects stating something about the thing called "love". I searched through Almira's bookshelf and I ended up borrowing her book entitled, Mr. Write. I blurted out one of my dreams to Jonee and Almira without even realizing I really want such thing to happen.

I know a lot of girls and boys in school who had relationships even before I realized that "kids" are allowed to enter such relationships. I still regard it as, "Too EARLY."

But still, even if I have this "No no no to that!" notion, I still day dream at times and think of the time wherein someone would sweep me off my feet, whenever I'm hearing high heeled shoes or not.

Dreams. Hey, can't we all dream a little? It does not mean that if I am not that "girly" enough in terms of words, actions or in fashion, I can't think of such incident happening to me (though, I'm not expecting it to happen now or for the next years.)

Here's what Jonee has got to say,

And I admit. I am one of those girls.

When the time comes, for that person to knock gently at my door, I would slowly let him inside my life and care for him as much as I have cared for the days (or even years) that I had been dreaming of being with him.

I remember how I hated watching movies inside the mall. Who wouldn't? The movies being played are not that "new" anymore in terms of the showing date. We are late for a month or two. And yet I couldn't put myself into thinking to totally avoid hearing the "Haaah!" and "Oooohs" of a jam packed audience with group of teenagers sharing a big popcorn bag. No matter how I loathe the un-timeliness of movies, I still look forward into entering a movie house with my friends and don't actually mind going out with popcorn cheese staining my "white dress".

Yesterday, after "cleaning" our classroom, we decided to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the mall's cinema house. We were forced to seat a few rows from the front row since there were lots of people watching.

It was, as far as I can remember, the first time in years since I've watched a movie of Brad Pitt. It was action packed with a comedy side and of course romance.

I went out of the movie house satisfied. Not because there were no popcorn cheese stains on my shirt (since we didn't buy popcorn). Not because I was with my friends. But because of the realization that hit me. Movies are new as long as it was being talked about here and there. Movies are new as long as I haven't watched it yet. Movies are new no matter how un-timely the movie house shows them. Movies are new as long as we enjoy watching them.

The Gratitude Theory

A few days ago, I was complaining because I wasn't able to buy the blue tote at the mall. And I was considering to buy a new cellphone, the latest model. For the last five or six years, I had eight different cellphones. For what reason? Simply because I want to have the latest model of cellphone. And I do so every year. Or sometimes, two times a year.

But I was enlightened by what I saw awhileago while heading to the mall. I saw a little girl about age six carrying, on her tiny waist, her little brother about one year of age. She was walking barefoot. Trying to find people who have the heart to give her a penny or so. Moving with sweat dripping from her little frame. She was moving, running, amidst the traffic, amidst the racing vehicles, amidst the people finding their way to get to work or to buy something "new" or plainly to have fun. And as for her, at a tender age, she's been carrying the weight of her little brother, carrying the weight of the "material" world.

I wonder what's she's thinking. I wonder if she worries about what will happen to her and her brother.

And then I wonder, why someone like me, even think about not having the thing I want. While in fact I already have more than what I need.

With that, I can definitely say that I am very blessed. Blessed enough to have good education. Blessed enough to eat three times a day (or more). Blessed enough to live life without worrying where would I get the money to buy my next meal.

Now I know how thankful I should be to Him, who has given me the gift of love and life.

Remaining Friends

What does friendship bring in a man's life? Does it mean anything to him or to the other person/people involved?

Months near the end of last year, I found myself asking, "Is my presence needed for them? Do I really have to be with them? Do I really "belong" to someone like them? Or am I just a nobody trying to be someone just to be with them?"

I even reached the point wherein I stopped talking and seeing them. I stopped having lunch with them. I avoided them during class breaks. I went home alone. Soon, I eventually went on my own.

I created a great barrier separating me from the people I have grown to be with. I created a wall separating me from the people whom I always considered as my "sisters-by-heart".

At first, I thought I was doing the right thing. I started to accept the fact that I am not someone like them. Or atleast not someone like them, which others expect me to be. I thought it was "okay". I thought nobody noticed anything at all. I thought nobody cares.

Then a few weeks later, people started noticing the "barrier" I made, the "wall" I built. Classmates started asking me questions like, "How come you're not with them anymore? Did something came up? Did you have a fight or something?" And all I could say was, "No. Nothing happened." Then I readily change the topic or most of the time, move away. Away from the people who did nothing but to ask what's wrong. Away from the people I barely know.

Then I started regretting what I did. I started "losing my defenses". I don't know why I did that "barrier" thing. Nothing else mattered anymore aside from the fact that instead of knowing who I really am, I started losing myself.

I started writing letters for my friends. But never had the courage to hand it to them. But luckily, a close classmate of mine saw the letter I made and handed it to them. The next thing I know, there they are excusing me from my Trigonometry class. When I went out, I saw them crying with the letter on their hands. I read the letter again, this time personally to them. And I started to cry too. You may think it's corny. Maybe it was. Maybe we are. May be I am. But I tell you, being corny can do you a lot of wonders. For instance, I regained our friendship.

And that's what of the few things that matters in this world.

10 THINGS MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME

1. Almost everyday, I feel insecure.
2. I cry every time I watch a movie by myself.
3. I read books not only to let time pass but to know what’s life really worth and how to get by and surpass all the troubles ahead.
4. Though I always show my “happy” side, deep inside I’m lonely.
5. I think on a much larger scale than everyone else (well, that’s according to the quiz I took at gurl.com)
6. That I am not really happy being left alone at home when all of them are out there seeing the world.
7. That I tend to be shy when we go in social gatherings like eating dinner at Oasis (some kind of a five star resto here).

NEW SCHOOL RULES

1. Noisy and going out without permission.
The verdict: Put in the record.
2. Not In Proper Seat (NIPS)
The verdict: Let the students go out.
3. Noticeable Behavior
The Verdict: Report

My Reaction: This rule is okay for me coz I really get irritated when my classmates talk and laugh like hyenas. It’s not that I don’t want them to laugh or talk to each other, but it’s more of because when they talk to each other it seems like they’re miles apart and sometimes they laugh about almost everything… yep… almost everything… even when nothing is funny at all.
These policies are ways to avoid being too noisy. When this policy will turn out fine, I guess our classroom wouldn’t be called the “noisiest” class anymore.

4. Using Cellular Phone (during recess, lunch and class hours)
The verdict: Confiscate.
My Reaction: A big NO-NO! Well, it’s just normal not to allow students to use their cp’s during class hours. But to stop us from using it during our lunch and recess… how could that be? When asked how can we use our cellphones if the matter is really important they told us that we can use them inside the office (with a teacher). So, where’s the “privacy” there? Someone would be listening to our conversation over the phone while at home I wouldn’t even want others listening to whatever I say. But since, I’m a good girl (lolz) I will follow that rule coz as I’ve said I’m a good girl and a part of being a good girl is obeying rules and regulations.

5. Bling Bling Accessories
The Verdict: Confiscate
My Reaction: I don’t have any problem with this since I’m not used in wearing accessories in school.

6. No bringing of discman, songhits and magazines
The Verdict: Leave them in the guardhouse
My Reaction: It’s okay with me as long as the things left there won’t be used by other people and will be safe (won’t be lost). Besides, I only bring magazines in school whenever our teacher instructs us to bring one.

7. Cleaners’ Attitude
The Verdict: Report
My Reaction: They expect us to clean the whole room thoroughly… I don’t have any objections with that. But what I don’t like about this thing is that, we, the cleaners, are the ones suffering from our classmates… how do I call it… improper waste disposal? They throw their candy wrappers all around the room and expect us to pick them and be the one to throw it in the trash can. When you tell them that they’re actually “littering” they’ll say thing like… “I’m not a cleaner for the day anyway.” With that simple gesture, I can’t help myself and if ever given the chance I would love to dump his/her (whoever that one is) face on the trash can. If all of us would know how to practice using the trash can properly, there wouldn’t be any cleaners needed.
** These new school rules will be put in to action as soon as we get back to school. But for now, since there are no classes… I would have to enjoy being free and do whatever I want.

UPDATES ON MY LIFE

I’ve been busy updating my xanga site so I barely visit my blog here. But now I’m back to give you some updates.

Our examination just ended. Dude, when I went home this afternoon I had this terrible headache. I read from my Candy mag that it is a result of being stressed out, reviewing, sleeping late at night and waking up early in the morning for three consecutive days. I’m glad to bid ta-ta to my eye bags and those almost sleepless nights. I’m back to normal again and the good thing is… I can surf the net.

Yesterday, my mom bought my Grade 3 sister a Nokia 6600. I was shocked upon knowing that fact. In fact I got jealous at first coz my celly is Nokia 7250i while hers is 6600. When I told my friends and one of my teachers about that, they were amazed too. When I told them that I’m jealous they only have one reply… “Be contented with what you have.” Upon hearing that, I don’t feel jealous anymore. I feel contented with what I have… and I’m not only talking about my cellphone but about the people around me… my family… my teachers and my friends.

Growing up

When I was young, I used to watch this certain kiddie talk show wherein it features kid reporters and the way they change as years pass by. Thru this show, I started to imagine myself growing up and meeting other people.

I thought it’s just a simple thing. I just have to wear big clothes and big shoes and do all the things grown ups do. I never thought it would be hard.

I miss playing with my fave toys…combing my Barbie doll’s hair and even designing and making her clothes (though… I don’t know what the clothes I made look like), playing hide-n-seek, having the usual “cooking time” with my playmates. The thing I miss most about being a child is the fact that I can do anything I want to without worrying what other people think. I can wear any clothes without hearing thinks like… “Hindi niya bagay.” But instead hear praises like…. “Ang cute cute naman ng bata.”…

Oh how I miss those times when I was still that innocent little girl. But I can’t do anything about it now. I can’t turn back time. Things happen because they are supposed to happen. And even if we don’t want them to happen, we just have to accept them and go on with our journey. Part of this journey is growing up.

It is only now that I realized the true essence of those two simple words. Though it’s fun meeting other people and be able to interact with them without being told things such us… “Bata ka pa… or usapang matanda ito”, there are times where in I feel like I don’t know what to do or say. Growing up is not as simple as wearing big clothes and big shoes. It’s more of facing the challenges of life. It’s more of learning how to get through it. And how to learn from all the mistakes you’ve committed.

I found out that some people could be judgmental. Though some could be for a good cause, there are times that we can’t avoid to be hurt by what other people say. To be honest, there are certain times where in I find myself crying and feeling so helpless. But then I realized that I should not allow these people to rule my life. I am the one making decisions, not them. This is my life. This is my journey. And this is me. No one but me can decide what I’m going to do or say. People have their own opinions. So do I. But some don’t realize that people, like you and me, have feelings too. We may not be able to show those feelings but deep inside it’s there, especially if we’re being hurt.

Though some may not understand us and accept us as the person we really are, there are other people out there who care about us. Just like our friends who are always there for us.

Yes, growing up isn’t that easy. You may experience pain but not at all times. Growing up can also be enjoyable. It can also be fruitful. It can be fun. As in F-U-N. You just have to get through it day by day. Face the trials that come your way. And eventually learn to appreciate the people around you while making your dreams come true.

THURSDAY, 07-01-2004

It has been two days and yet we still don't have classes due to this storm (bagyo). Yesterday, it was signal number three here and now it's signal number two. One of my schoolmates informed me that there'll be no classes today. She also informed me that yesterday.

Since I'm at home and I finished my homeworks and finished all our quizzes last Tuesday, I'm free to do anything I want.

Yesterday, I finished listening to Avril Lavigne's Under My Skin and Aaron Carter's new album and his old one (which I bought last Sunday). I'm planning to buy Linkin'Park Live in Concert but then I can't go out since it's raining.

I had a movie marathon yesterday, and as for today, I'm listening to my fave Acoustic songs and surfing the net. I really don't know what to do next. I think I'm going to finsih reading my book. (Yep, book again. Haven't I told you that I'm a bookworm?).

school and friends

It has been almost a month since I wrote here. And in a span of almost one month, lots of things happened. Some are good and some are not so good.

School started last June 14 (if I remember it right). I was so excited. The feeling was so different from the first two years of my highschool life. I'm now in third year highschool. They say, this is the hardest year... but then if you have the courage you could get through it.

As I enter our new campus (we recently moved to our new campus which is a bit farther away from home), I saw my friends waiting. I saw new students piled up and the old ones giggling ang talking like bees. That was when I started to realize the mere fact that I'm back in school.

In third year, there are three sections. When I looked for my name on the list, I couldn't see it because of the students piled up in front of me. When at last I had the chance, I don't know what to do or say. Why not? I am the only one in our group who's not in the same section. I'm beggining to imagine things and ask myself questions like, Will I still be a part of the group? Will they still treat me as their friend? What if.... What if... What if.... But all these thoughts vanished when my friens talked to me. They told me that it's gonna be okay.

With that simple gesture, all my worries vanished. They assured me that eventhough we're not in the same section, we would still meet during lunch breaks and go home at the same time and if possible, during recess.

It has been three weeks, and as I hoped for, our friendship is still intact. Though during sometimes during recess, we don't see each other, we make sure we eat lunh together and go home at the same time. Now I realized that distance can't affect your relationship with your friends it is only a matter of trust and proper communication.

I always loved being alone at home... doing nothing but to eat, sleep, read my books, scan my magazines, watch telly or listen to my cds and cassette tapes...

But today, I discovered there is life out there... waiting for me to discover it...

We went to this beach house and I was like... UH-OH... people... lots of people... I'm not into meeting other people... As others say, I'm kinda the "shy" type though my friends think otherwise...

So on with my story...

We went to this beach house to meet a family friend.. well, they own the place... When we arrived there... I was totally relieved when I didn't see anybody except our family friend and three of her ompanions at home...

So there I was, sitting on the "rocking chair" ... yep, there's a rocking chair... near the pool... I don't have any plans on swimming so I just sat there... listening thru my MP3 player... when i got bored of listening... I roamed the place... I saw lots of diff. kinds of birds and plants... Then it hit me...

I decided to take a picture of those birds and flowers and all the interesting things that caught my attention...using my cellphone (with camera of course.. lolz)... I even took a picture of the roking chair I sat on... and before I knew it... I didn't have enough space in my celly to save more pictures...

But all in all, our trip there was fun. Our family friend's soooo nice...friendly.... and all that...

Yeah, this is only a start... a beginning... in exploring the beauty that surrounds us... but maybe, if we could continue to reach out to the world...we'll see them all...
